About Delta System
Founded in 1987, Delta System is a software house specialized in the development and commercialization of proprietary ERP solutions designed for IBM Power i environments. Today, the company has around 100 employees distributed across three operational offices: the headquarters in San Fior (TV), and the offices in Erba (CO) and Asolo (TV).
In its early years, Delta System integrated into its ERP a vertical solution dedicated to companies in the wood–furniture sector, anticipating the specific needs of the industry.
In 1992, the company marked a significant innovative milestone with the development of ARGO, its own graphic configurator. At the time, it was a true market novelty—ARGO was one of the first configurators capable of using three-dimensional graphics to represent furniture and components in a parametric and dynamic way. It was a pioneering solution that introduced a new paradigm in visual representation and technical product management.
After more than a decade of intensive use, we can confidently confirm the validity of our initial decision. The product has consistently provided the reliability and support needed to sustain our operations. We are fully satisfied with our choice of Eyeshot as the foundation for our CAD/graphics solutions.

Challenge
In the early 2000s, Delta System began a major technological evolution of its graphic configurator: ARGO was completely rewritten and enhanced through the internal development of a new proprietary 3D engine. This led to the creation of PIGRECO, the natural and technologically advanced evolution of the first-generation configurator.
As graphic technologies continued to evolve, the company pursued continuous innovation, carefully evaluating the leading graphics engines available on the market with the goal of integrating a cutting-edge 3D engine into its platform.
The selection process was driven by very specific needs: high performance, seamless integration with the ERP system, and top-quality visual output. The configurator is used both by technical departments—where parametric precision is essential—and in retail environments, where visual quality is crucial to offering customers an immersive experience faithful to the real product.
Solution
The integration of the Eyeshot graphics engine into our platform took place gradually. The first step was using Eyeshot as a simple viewer for the generated configurations: an external module was developed to receive data from the configurator and provide a high-quality three-dimensional representation within a dedicated display window. The result was a significant improvement in visual quality and image definition.
Positive market feedback followed quickly. Increasingly, customers began requesting that Eyeshot also be used in the actual design phase. This sparked a rapid and strategic transition from PIGRECO’s internal graphics engine to full adoption of the Eyeshot engine.
Through close collaboration with the Eyeshot development team, advanced features specific to the wood–furniture industry were implemented: enhanced texture management for more realistic material rendering, dynamic lighting, shading systems, dimensioning tools, and advanced printing capabilities. All functions of the previous graphics engine were progressively replaced, paving the way for a new generation of highly impactful and operationally efficient configuration tools.
Results
The main benefits achieved through the use of Eyeshot include a marked improvement in graphic output and excellent fluidity even when handling complex projects.
Using Eyeshot has allowed us to focus on application enhancements while delegating video card and shader management to Eyeshot’s built-in capabilities.
Each Eyeshot update introduces improvements and new features that open up further possibilities for enhancing our applications.
The supported import/export formats are those most commonly used in the graphics field.
The graphics library is flexible and allows the implementation of any type of application requiring visual output—whether simple or complex—without burdening software development.
The main graphic challenges are natively handled by Eyeshot.
The ability to create specific objects based on native objects and certain events represents an additional strength of Eyeshot.
